Confirmation of order
After placing an order you will receive a confirmation email to indicate that we have received your order. This does not indicate that a contract exists between us.
We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice for the goods ordered. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Delivery
GeoMEM supplies specialised software applications. For this reason it is impractical and uneconomic to hold a stock of all items (we may only sell one item of the more specialised software in a year). Therefore the more popular items are held in stock (Stock items) and the others (Non-stock items) are ordered direct from the Developer when we receive an order. In most cases Non-stock items are delivered to us in two business days, and to you in four working days.
Stock items: These are normally dispatched from our offices within 1 business day of your order.
Non-stock items: These can take between four(4) and ten(10) business days depending on the developer of the software. We will advise by email of the likely delivery date in this case.
Golden Software upgrades: Golden Software only supply upgrades to their applications (Didger, Grapher, MapViewer, Strater, Surfer and Voxler) against a registered Serial Number. Because of this we cannot hold a stock of upgrades and must order using the serial number you supply (which MUST be already registered with Golden Software). This is always a non-stock item.
In addition, our prices on Golden Software upgrades are based on the upgrade being included in a larger order (to spread delivery costs from the Developer). Therefore, we include upgrades in larger orders when we make those larger orders. This may lead to an extended delivery time (up to 20 business days) unless an express upgrade order is made.
Other upgrades: In general, other developers have a more flexible upgrade process and they fall within the standard Stock and Non-stock categories.
MULTIPLE COPIES/LICENSES - Quantity discounts:
GeoMEM offers quantity discounts on most items but the shop does not allow for this in it's calculations.
You may order multiple copies of software via this shop bearing in mind that the total shown does not include GeoMEMs multiple copy discount. On receipt of the order we will apply any relevant quantity discount and will email confirmation of your quantity order and discounted price.
NO PAYMENT IS TAKEN FROM YOUR CARD UNTIL WE SHIP THE GOODS and
the amount you pay will be as advised in our email NOT the total shown in the on-line shop.
Payment
Payment is not taken from your card until the day that your order is dispatched.
All taxable items have 15% VAT added within the UK. If you are ordering from outside the UK please include your VAT / Tax number to avoid paying UK VAT.
Any credit card details you entered are transmitted over a secure link (SSL) and stored using 128-bit encryption.
Returns
Software: We can only accept returns if the software CD is unbroken and in original packaging and box with all contents included. That is, exactly as you received it.
Hardware or other devices: These must be returned in good unused and saleable condition.
In all cases the goods must be returned at your cost and in the original packaging or packaging of a similar standard.
Consumer information
Our main customer area is business-to-business however we also supply directly to consumers.
In this case customers from the European Union are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm.
Please note: Unsealed Software is excluded from the cancellation clause in the Directive. If you wish to return software it must be sealed.
